Like Kanye, one of my first favorite rappers was Bad Boy’s own “Murda” Ma$e. Born Mason Betha, aka Rap Game Michael Jordan, he has retired and unretired more times than a NASCAR pit crew. But I welcome every return.
The first time I heard this song was through a College Humor video where the chorus is used as a point of bonding between the ‘Phantom of the Office’ and the woman in the office he is attempting to seduce/ set on fire.
Also like Kanye, Nihar and I would bump Ma$e everyday on the way back from JV tennis practice.
His other notable jams include the first verse (and Ma$e Gumball role in the video) on Mo Money Mo Problems, Keep it On and Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down.
